微機綜合保護裝置是一種采用計算機技術(Microprocessor-Based Protection System, 簡稱MPS)實現的電力系統繼電保護設備。它將傳統繼電器保護的各種功能,如電流速斷、過流保護、零序保護、負序電壓保護、差動保護等集成在一個或多個微處理器平臺上,通過軟件編程來實現對電力設備的全面保護。
這種裝置具有以下特點:
